Frame of Mind........

Frame of Mind all started back in 2001 when Ian and Dom met at college. They both studied music, saw potential in one another's talent and started to jam and write together. Previous to this Ian was actually a drummer in a band called 'Slide'. After writing some tunes tunes they both decided to start a band. 'Soulshine' were as follows - Ian, Dom, Jon and Joel. They jammed and were (apparently) pretty decent! As time went by Jon and Joel were replaced by drummer Dave Lee and bassist Paulo Battisti. The name also changed! The band came together. Top tunes, top harmonies, top beats!! Their first gig at the Roadhouse (Manchester) was one to remember...and as you can imagine it snowballed from there. Gigs week in week out in Manchester, Liverpool, London, Blackburn etc. Great live reviews rolled in, recordings with Dave Carter and Alan Murrell generated excellent responses. After a couple of years on the unsigned circuit, FOM's agent and now part-manager Manuel Skatsho decided it was time for something a bit bigger. He managed to secure the support slot with 70's rock legends 'America' on their 2004 tour of Italy. Come the end of 2004 after rave reviews from manchester band sites, radio DJ's (Jo Good - Key103) and a lot of label interest, it was getting very exciting. In January 05 bassist Paulo Battisti was replaced by Laurence Kevill. Laurence (now the youngest at 19) quickly picked up the tunes and got gigging. The additional vocal part also made the sound even more interesting. In February the band signed a management deal with ex Spandau Ballet and Sade manager Iain Hill, and massive Italian promotor Francesco Sanavio who has worked with Prince, James Brown, Michael Jackson plus many more. Also the continued support and experience from Dave Roberts (owner of Sushi Records, Manchester) and Manuel (see above), have put the band in a very strong position. A tour of Italy with Chuck Berry in summer 2005, warmed the band up for things to come. The songs are coming thick and fast from all four members....its now just waiting on the right deal at the right time.......
